Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aviator Archive (the "Service"), the marketing website at aviatorarchive.com, and all associated mobile and desktop applications (collectively, the "Software"). By installing or using the Software, you agree to these Terms.

2. The license you're buying

Aviator Archive is sold under a single, perpetual, non-transferable Lifetime license per natural person. Your purchase grants you the right to install and use the Software on devices you personally own or control, with no recurring fee. Specific permitted-use rules and prohibitions are set out in the EULA.

3. Account and identity

To activate your Lifetime license across multiple devices, you sign in with a supported identity provider (currently Apple and Google). You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We do not store your password.

4. Your data

Your flight log data is stored locally on your devices. We do not host or back up your logbook contents. See the Privacy Policy for the precise scope of what we do hold (license status, sign-in email, per-device certificate fingerprints).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software.
• Use the Software to transmit malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access to other systems, or interfere with our infrastructure.
• Use the Software in any way that violates aviation safety regulations or your operator's data policies.

6. Updates and changes

We push updates to the Software periodically. Your Lifetime license includes all future updates. We may modify, add, or remove features over time, but we will not paywall existing functionality behind a new subscription.

7. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Aviator Archive is a logbook tool and is not a substitute for regulatory compliance with your aviation authority. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of your logbook entries.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your Lifetime license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms. On termination for breach, your local copy of the Software remains usable, but server-side services (entitlement check, sign-in) may be revoked.

11. Governing law
