User guide

How it all works.

100 guides across 11 areas, written for a pilot who has never opened the app and does not know a single one of its terms. Start at the top if it is new to you — the areas are in the order you meet them.

Three things that save the most time

There is no Settings tab. Settings live behind your own profile card at the top of the dashboard, on a screen called Profile Settings.

One logbook, many devices. A profile is a logbook that lives on every device you own. On a second device you send the one you have rather than making a new one — and nothing on screen says so. Read this one first.

Your data is yours. CSV, TSV and Excel export are free, forever. How to get it out.

The agreement screen, your first profile, PINs and recovery, your pilot identity, the dashboard.

CSV and Excel import, column mapping, date and time formats, the Review inbox, previous experience, AI Scan.

The entry wizard, times and OOOI, drafts, landings and approaches, photos, FMC capture, bulk edits.

The list, the stats bar, filters and search, the detail view, duplicates, analytics, the Career Map.

The Hangar, aircraft and types and one tail's own analytics, simulators, HUD configuration, people, organizations, airports.

PDF logbooks, CSV, TSV and Excel, the FAA 8710-1, and what survives a round trip.

The Document Store, renewals, history, how currency is worked out, and duty and rest limits.

Destinations, passphrases, automatic backups, and the two kinds of restore.

How cloud-less sync works, the three ways to pair, running a sync, troubleshooting.

Liveries, scale, units, the seven layout editors, custom fields, privacy.

What Pro includes, the free limit, buying, licence keys, the account.
