End User License Agreement
Effective: 2026-04-25 (DRAFT)
1. Licence grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and our Terms of Service, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Aviator Archive (the "Software") on devices you personally own or control.
2. Single-user scope
This is a per-pilot licence. One natural person is the licensee. You may install the Software on as many of your own devices as you want, but you may not share your sign-in credentials to enable multiple pilots to use a single licence.
For instructor / school / fleet deployments, contact us at [email protected] — we'll work out a per-seat arrangement that doesn't try to bend this licence into a shape it isn't.
3. What you may do
- Use the Software to log, view, analyze, and export your own flight data.
- Make local backups of your logbook database.
- Sync between your own devices over your own network.
- Export your data in CSV, XLS, or PDF and use it however you want — including for licence renewal, employer submission, or migration to a different tool.
4. What you may not do
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Software, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially redistribute the Software.
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the Software.
- Use the Software to falsify flight records or to violate any aviation regulation.
- Use the Software in any application where its failure could reasonably be expected to cause death, serious personal injury, or severe property damage. The Software is a record-keeping tool, not a flight-safety system.
5. Updates
Your Lifetime licence includes all future updates to the Software. We may modify, add, or remove features over time, and we may change the server-side services the Software relies on (entitlement check, federated sign-in). We will not paywall existing core functionality behind a new subscription.
6. Open source components
The Software incorporates open-source components, each governed by its own licence. A complete list is available in the in-app About screen. Nothing in this Agreement modifies the rights granted to you under any open-source licence.
7. Termination
This licence terminates automatically if you materially breach its terms. On termination, you must stop using the Software and remove it from your devices. Your local logbook data remains yours; we have no copy of it.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the Software at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising under this Agreement is limited to the amount you paid for your Lifetime licence. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of professional standing arising from logbook errors.
